I had the basics down, the to dos, the lists, but something was not sitting right. I had a tough go getting this year's line up and ready. This. Was. My. 3 day countdown.
Google lost my blog. I panicked. Called Go Daddy and spent a grueling 48 hours pulling pieces of my blog and website out of cyber space. Paced. PRAYED. Asked. Within that 48 hours I also grew. But before that happy hour of realizing I was growing, I stumbled. Somehow someway it all pulled together. I sat exhausted. I noticed that my face was wet. I had a river of tears forming on my face. I went face down and thanked our Lord for getting us to the finish line. I may have been spent and that is okay. But I needed to realize that our Lord and Savior was doing the work.
This verse came to me:
Micah 7: 7
As for me, I look to the Lord for help. I wait confidently for God to save me, and my God will certainly hear me.
I am the typical type A personality who rarely goes outside the box. I like all things orderly and in there place. If things are neat and tidy I am calm. What I saw this past week was nothing organized or calm. Last night I learned something as I read the book of John. God was at work. He placed stumbling blocks in front of me. The stumbling blocks I needed to see, that orderly doesn't allow the messy. I threw my original 2015 plan aside and sat. This is what came to me as I sat and listened; who I'm I in this journey? What is Blue Birds Mission? Why is Blue Birds my vision? And so, a new to do list and calendar of goals was created.
1. Take time to rest my heart = no new products until next fall.
2. Team up with a blog writer to help answer the who, what, and whys.
3. Team up with a web designer to fix the glitches that still exist.
4. Work on marketing.
5. Team up for community outreach.
Are you gearing up for a new calendar of goals? In a new season? I would love to hear about your journey!
xoxo
