Inspire

Have you ever had a friend that pushes you to grow? That moves you to want to explore who you are? My dear friend Heather Orth of Sprouts Baby and Toddler Boutique is that person.
I remember walking into her mom and pop shop almost a year ago with my hands shaking and my mouth at a robins whisper; asking if she would sell my items in her shop.

I was and part of me still is this little robin bird trying out her wings and seeing if I can fly. Heather, has not only inspired me to grow but she has believed in me as an artist.

She started her business with the idea of family in mind. Her shop is very Momma built. Her imagination and spirit of nature is seen throughout the shop.

After moving from her original space to building an online store and now grounded in the community she is located at the Historic Train Depot in Medford WI.
Instead of folding in the towel when business was beyond slow she dug her heals in and created a Co-Op. Now Her shop and her philosophy are apart of the Downtown scene.

I am overjoyed with the support and kindness the Orth' family has showered me with. I am Happy as a bee to announce that in June of 2013 Maes Creations Purls 2 Knit will not only be in the shop {already for sale} but I will be Co-Oping my own shop with https://www.facebook.com/sprouts.baby.toddler.boutique/info?ref=ts Sprouts Baby and Toddler Boutique!

Meet Heather and the Owner of Sprouts Baby and Toddler Boutique Co Op!

I was a stay at home mom of a 5 yr old daughter and a 3 yr old son and the wife of a wildlife artist.   The thought of having a small art gallery was a desire of ours but knew there would need to be additional items along with art. Having 2 young children, I knew there was nothing in the area for shopping for high quality children's items. So the idea "sprouted" to open a baby & toddler boutique, focused on locally handmade, made in USA, earth friendly, high quality, and unique children's clothing, accessories, & gifts. Sprouts has now been open for 1 year and now includes a section of natural art & decor and a co-op partner, Caleb's Candles, handmade wood wick soy candles,  and we look forward to Maes Creations joining our co-op in June!

What better way to show the talent of her dedication than a little movie?? I was floored when I walked through the door after the hard work she and her husband put into the shop. Tears of excitement and gratitude were seen.  Enjoy!
