When I drive and I am on the look out for eagles. I have a great sense of calmness if I see an eagle guiding me on my journey. It is a sigh and warmth that fills me to the brim.
This is Gods land and a glorious land at that. In my eyes it is Him with me a sign of all that is ahead. My fascination with Eagles started in the Boundary Waters in Northern Minnesota. My very first acknowledgement of feeling safe. My dad sent me on these amazing summer trips through the YMCA. Some were short 8 days. Some were long 17 days {hiking the rockies}
I would come home and not even speak of the experience. It was private. It was frozen time away that I treasured. As I grew up and became an adult I shared all those stories with my dad.
This years art piece is my representation of a Eagles Nest. When I learned that James Stokes, of James Stokes Photography was willing to photograph this piece I was beyond myself with joy. His attention to the natural outdoors is breathtaking. You can see his work and follow him at https://www.facebook.com/JamesStokesPhotography?fref=ts
A few elements of this piece are missing as of yet and I will surely share more once I receive the full images. But like a kid in a candy store I just had to share!
