Postal service is hard to wait for!

You know that feeling you get when you know you are expecting a package? That all knowing ants in the pants can't sit still feeling. When you try hard to distract yourself but yet you just can't stop checking the tracking on your package? I have that feeling most times lately.
I wait and wait and wait until the package is dropped on the front porch! You know that sound. The sound of wind and a lull of sound hitting the ground. Your ears are trained to know it is not just envelopes and junk. The sound of heavy weight being settled with gravity.
Then I drop what ever I am doing run to the door with excitement and pause catch my breath and open the door. I get this smile from cheek to cheek just seeing it sit there. No, it doesn't talk back or even smile back at me but its calling to me! It is teasing me to find a scissors to open it up! Awe....... the first glance of the awaited order is the best ever!
I am speaking of waiting for my labels. The labels a very brave soul made for me! I had no idea how to make labels or even send the correct Pixels. HA, I gave Mountain Street Arts a run for their money and you know what. She did not even bat an eye! What amazing amount of kindness.
I was sitting on my favorite chair ( the one my youngest and I fight over!) and discussing with said child how the labels should be sewn on. I think I drove her a little crazy. I kept saying how about this or maybe I should do this. Inside of hat? Outside of hat? I decided on the flip over. Half on the outside half on the inside. Within a couple days of having one label sewn on I heard a few comments from members of the family! Wow that's neat, that looks really good, and how did you think of that?. I am proud to say we have a winner!
I was able to use my new sewing machine. I never thought I would ever own a sewing machine! I used to do everything by hand. Each back stitch, each loop over was done by hand. But I actually get giddy using it now:)
More things have been happening around our home that are not knitting related. My oldest child gave birth to her first child. A beautiful baby boy. Her and her husband and son are doing well! It was truly a special Easter for us this year. He brings the total of grandchildren to 5, and by the end of next year the number will be growing to 8! Second milestone was my son. He was enlisted into the military. Sworn in and will be shipping out sooner rather than later! Yes this has been a full month full of joy, surprises, suspense, and many roller coaster moments.
And finally I have also decided to become a Scentsy Consultant! Now, I get to have girls nights with a purpose! My website for the Scentsy is www.laurahassler.scentsy.us
