It has been awhile.....

Hello fans and fellow bloggers!
I sure have taken quite a break from writing. A lot has been on my plate so far in the month of May and it is only the 5th! HA, things never seem to slow down, nor would I want them too. Back in March I sent a gift to a very special person. I was working on making fingerless gloves and thought of my chilly step-daughter who loves them. Since she has had them awhile I am able to see the areas that need the most attention. The thumb opening needs to be a little larger. The fiber used will need to be a little lighter (less bulky) and finally a second version of the first will be added! The second one will be a rib style and about 1 1/2 inch from the elbow. I didn't realize at the time of making them as a gift that they would be so loved and used to create even more! I love this design of knitting in the round. There is no seam and I used a button hole method for the thumb opening. When the gloves lay flat you can not even see it! I am anxious to find just the right Eco friendly cotton blend to start off the fall supply for my Etsy Shop.
The other project that I have recently finished is a newborn hat for one of my daughters babies due in August. I started with the boys hat. I had his daddy in mind when I chose the colors of black and chalk gray. He is a straight forward person who likes all things simple. I will have to hide the girls hat from her daddy since he says we are not ALLOWED to dress her in pinks! I think he is delusional with this request:)
I have purchased the softest yummiest cotton blended colors for her! I can't wait to show it off. It will be the next item on my circulars. Other events so far have been a quick visit to Milwaukee, putting our house on the market for sale, lots of packing and getting rid of...., planning and hosting a baby shower for next weekend, a family bowling night, and last but not least the dailies. You know, the post office, grocery store, last minute gifts, forgetting the milk and going back to the store. Awe and the many taxi service rides for our kids:)
Last but not least; I added the Three Lil Bears to the Etsy Shop. These adorable and oh so soft hats are made with eco-friendly cotton blended with silk and cashmere. They are washable on cold and gentle cycle. You can dry on low heat or air dry flat. They can be made in array of sizes and colors.
these are a great gift, or for a photography prop!

Brown Bear, Black Bear, Polar Bear oh my!

Hope all of you had a wonderful May Day!
