Target has great prices and with my reward card I get 5% off but it is also a evil place for me. Starbucks is nicely tucked into the front entrance. I stayed strong and grabbed a cart and kept on going. Then I spotted a great deal on shoes and once again was tempted to cave all on the first day. But I stayed strong and quickly finished up. While waiting in line I was pondering if spending the change in my purse is considered "extra spending". I decided it was and left the line even more thirsty.
Once back on the road we headed to the car wash place to vacuum the car after our last road trip. broke down and dug for the quarters for the machine instead of my card. It was actually liberating. I didn't just swipe my card. Now that was a high five moment.
Tonight after reading my devotion I realized that so many more have never done their hair to hide the gray. So many do not have a car to get to target. So many struggle to find the cash for the metro bus or even school lunch. Today surely has left me thirsty and in so many more ways than needing a drink of water.
Today was also the day to set my goal in motion for Maes Creations!! This was a exciting part of my day. I have 6 hats done for the photographer and two more to go. Then onto finishing up the new line of birthday bodysuits and T's. I will set the date to mail out by January 21.
Second part of my goal is to knit two bins worth of items, a bin of bodysuits, a bin of photography props to have ready for a vendor booth at the Farmers Market 2014!!!! Yep I am setting the date. I am hiking forward. I am putting one foot in front of the other ( or one needle in front of the other hehehe)
The hardest part of the day??? My 13 year old daughter. Do you have a teen girl in the house? If you do you know whats coming. Mom, I need.........
I had several moments of taking a deep breath and asking her to think " Is it a need or want" "Is it necessary to survive". There is a large conclusion to this battle. Her answer, I am not apart of this challenge!
To end the night I finished up some pictures from our trip to visit my daughters for Christmas.
