10 things about me.......

1. My name is Laura, I share the same middle name as my Grand Daughter Maci. It is Mae.

2. I was born without a functioning thyroid.

3. My favorite flower is tulip (yellow)

4. My childhood passion was hiking the Rockies, portaging  the Boundary Waters, and driving my dad crazy.

5. Out to eat fav, Mexican!!!

6. I have five monkey's I call my children HA they are really my kids not Monkey's

7. Colors I adore are black, grey, cream, charcoal....... okay I need some help with this.

8. Love helping rescue animals.

9. Knitting is my creative outlet and passion is hand spun thick and thin.

10. I am a quiet person who loves people watching.

In the world of technology we meet people in different ways. through blogs, emails, text, social networks and so on. But rarely do we see these people in person. We never shake their hands. Lend a hug when needed or even hear the tone of voice to depict their feelings.
Instead we use exclamation marks and periods to make a point.
10 things about me hits a very general idea into my life. I can weave stories into each number listed. I can all find another 10 to share.
This year is a year in the making for me. To reach outside my comfort zone. To become more social and more aware of those who are important to me. When I take a moment to take stock I see a handful of people that stand next to me through each turn in the road. I may not see them in the old fashion term of seeing people but I see them none the less.

Two new groups, yes you read that right! I Laura, have taken a huge leap and reached out to groups! Have shown me a safe place to express myself and to find support in the arts.

The first group of gals is Prop It Like It's Hot. A place to find answers, lend support, laugh, maybe cry, be a cheerleader, receive cheer leading. Along with the behind the scenes for vendors their is also a public page for us artists to share our work in weekly RTS Sales! Boy are these fun! I get to know amazing fellow artists and have a platform to sell my Photo Prop Line, https://www.facebook.com/PropItLikeItsHot This Wednesday I have two items up for sale. Purchase of these items happens on the day of the RTS and on the page Prop It Like It's Hot.

Do you see the adorable child? Ten Photography,https://www.facebook.com/TENPhotography took beautiful photographs with my wrap set. She did such a rare job. You can see the innocence and purity in her photographs. Such a giddy moment for me. Here is another photograph and it is simply breath taking!

 

I was left with such awe when she showed me these pics. I have such a huge respect for her work and to see my work in action was a blessing. The second group that I call home on the wide world of Face Book is Give Big. Shop Small. This group supports us vendors and artists in our pursuit of our Lil' shops becoming visible,https://www.facebook.com/PropSaleEevents. Behind the scenes it gets CrAzY ( Or as MM says CRA CRA ) We laugh, we shout, we explode our opinions and we trust each other to ask for help, lend support and cheer each other on! This group offers another venue for RTS sales on Tuesday's. This Tuesday Maes Creations has some entries. They are available for purchase on the site above and on Tuesday.
